Rules & Regulations
By creating an account you have accepted the terms & conditions of this website, as well as the rules enforced by this league.
Rule 1: Penalties
Rule 2: Driving Standards/Limits
Rule 3: Track Limits
Rule 4: Qualifying and Race Disconnections
Rule 5: Drivers and Teams
Rule 6: Other Penalties:
1.1: We run a license penalty system in which a driver will receive penalty points for incidents caused during an event. Once a driver reaches 25pts they will have to serve a qualifying ban, 35pts will result in a race ban and 50pts will result in a removal and ban from the league. Penalty points reset at the end of a season.
1.2: For each incident, a number of stewards are selected to discuss the incident and decide on a punishment.
1.3: In most circumstances, a time penalty or qualifying ban will be the likely punishment for an incident, however, if a severe incident is caused, a race disqualification or ban could be awarded.
1.4: Penalties given out by the game during a race may be taken off afterwards, providing the driver involved has proof or support from the league host. Drive-through and stop-and-go time penalties cannot be taken off.
1.5: If a drivers lag causes an incident, the stewards can still penalise the driver with lag as they are impacting another drivers race.
1.6: Anyone who wishes to report an incident, must do so within 36 hours of the race start time. All incidents will be looked into a responded to before the following race.
1.7: If you are serving a qualifying ban, but the event needs to be restarted for any reason, you will still have to re-take your qualifying ban for that race.
Driving Standards:
2.1: During the races, if you illegally overtake another driver, or hit someone and knock them off track, you are expected to give the position back. Any penalty given out afterwards would be more lenient if you were to let the driver through.
2.2: If the game asks you to give back a position because you have illegally gained a position, only do this if it is safe. Make sure this is not dangerous and could not impact a fellow drivers race.
2.3: Do not back off coming into the pit-lane to avoid queuing.
2.4: Dangerous driving under a safety car will be punished. While the safety car is out, drivers should give at least a couple of car lengths room to the car ahead, and should not overtake or concede positions at all costs.
2.5: At the end of a Safety Car or Virtual Safety Car period, you should not overtake on the car ahead until the green flag has been waved so than normal racing will continue.
2.6: Weaving is forbidden when defending, and you are expected to change line no more than once when defending on a straight. If you fail to meet this then you will be looked into by the stewards for dangerous driving which could impact a fellow driver.
2.7: Make sure you are sensible during Qualifying, make sure you give enough between drivers to start hot laps.
2.8: If you jump the start, you are required to slow down off the racing line and let all drivers though until you get to the last place to avoid affecting fellow drivers. Failure to pull over and slow down could result in an additional penalty being added after the race.
Track Limits:
3.1: We ask all drivers to respect the circuit and that they do not use track extending or corner cutting to their advantage.
3.2: Any corner cut or track extending in qualifying or the race, may result in you receiving a penalty from the stewards as you have gained an advantage.
Qualifying and Race Disconnections:
4.1: If anything goes wrong in the lobby the host will have the final say in what will happen next via the PSN or twitter chat if there is a mass-disconnection during a session or lots of lag. Mistakes may be made but we expect every driver to respect the Hosts final decision.
4.2: If there was a maximum of 5 people to attend the race the Host will decide to call it off and the race will be done the following week or never.
4.3: There are no set rules for a mass-disconnection in the race, however, the race director may decide to restart a race if a lot of people disconnect. If the race reaches 50%, and a mass-disconnection occurs then the event will be re-run the following week, this is down to time restrictions.
4.3: If you have a qualifying ban you are not allowed to leave the pits at all as you could impact a drivers lap. You must retire from the session.
Drivers and Teams:
5.1: The driver with the most points at the end of the season will have the first priority of Car selection for the following season. This will carry on in championship order however you cannot reserve a teammate as this would be unfair.
5.2: If a driver does not attend three weeks of racing, they will be looked into by staff with the risk of them being removed from the league as you are not following the rules that you signed before signing up but more importantly stopping another driver join the league.
5.3: Once a list of drivers for the following season has been announced you will be notified for car selection and a lot more to keep you up to date here in VRC.
5.4: At the time of a season drivers with less than 80% attendance will be given the last spot on car selection as we are not sure you are really committed to the league and would prefer committed drivers to have priority over you.
Other:
6.1: If a driver crossed the line before another yet the game messes up and does not process this we would require video footage from both drivers to fix the standings so we make sure it's 100% correct.
6.2: Racing cannot start any later than 8:40 pm UK time if we have a disconnection.Any later and the race will be re-run the following week.
6.3: Only two drivers can score points for a team during a season. Reserve drivers points scored do not count towards any constructors battle.
6.4: A driver can request a 10 minute delay to help them attend the race, however, if it hits 8:10 and the driver is still not there, then you are allowed to proceed to racing.
